Mugen & Honda decals @ Genconcept

Went to Genconcept today to take a look at their decals and realised they have lots of stickers on sale and they do customisation too... I went to the Commonwealth branch (located inside Leng Kee Carmart) and this branch is smaller as compared to the Ubi branch. As this branch is nearer to my home, I decide to take a look first, maybe will patronise the Ubi branch later.

I was browsing through the wide variety of decals and found what I want for the front side doors and rear doors. Although the colours is not what I wanted for, it fit my car colour quite perfectly. Think I still prefer blue or red colour decals. Nevertheless, I purchase the decals and went to apply the decals at a mulit-storey carpark.

Please see below for the masterpieces:

I was also browsing their website @ www.genconcept.com.sg and there are some whole car body designs which catch my attention, below are some samples:

Well, these designs cost from $250 onwards and car owners have to leave their cars with them for 1 day to a week, depend on the design. I might go for it, still considering.....

S.H.E Osim Ukimono

Today, I was at the Best Denki closed door sale (by invitation only) and noticed the OSIM advertisement. My all time favourite S.H.E is the official supporter of this OSIM Ukimono product. Couldn't resist so took these photos as memories...

By the way, S.H.E will be coming to Singapore for their world tour concert on 17 April 2010 @ Singapore Indoor Stadium, how I wish can attend but need to look for kaki to go together... and the tickets are quite expensive!

Mugen Keypouch @ Motec

I was curious about this accessories shop @ Pioneer Road North, and they operate only at night. So today, decide to pop by to the shop as I saw their advertisement in Hotstuff mag. When i reach there, saw a Kia Cerato Forte installing LEDs light to the rear and on the doors, very nice. Sure going to catch traffic police attention. haha!
After I park my car, immediately the shop assistant approached me and ask how he can assist me. I ask if they have brembo brake covers, they have it and selling a pair for $30. It comes in red or blue colour. But after visual inspection, he told me my rims could not fit in. Sad and disappointed!

Since I am already there, I walk around and notice they have quite alot of accessories. Hmm, good, this shop so near to my home. They have accessories like engine oils, LED lights, stickers, motec wipers, fuel addictives, strut bars, underbraces, gear knob, carbon fiber accessories, steering wheels, just to name a few...

Then I happen to see lots of key pouch, brand like TRD, Mugen, Ralliart... wow, tempted to buy the Mugen design and the picture is shown here:

This pouch is nice and the material is better than the the one I bought at Soxxi. It also have a red thread design. Price is $17.90.

I also ask about the strut bar they advertising. For ultra racing, they retail at $120, for Alutec, they retail at $188. Don't know if the price is ok, but surely have to do some homework before committing.

STP Petrol Treatment

Came across this product at Giant Supermarket and look at the specification. The product says it will clean the car fuel system and saves fuel. Well, my car is already quite fuel economy and since it doesn't cost much, decide to give it a try. After I pump my car to full tank, I pour in the entire bottle to my tank. Will see if it helps to save even more petrol! hehe....

Misty Fog Light

Last year December 2009. due to the rainy season, as I was driving through the heavy rain, one of my fog lamp was filled with water vapour. The picture below shows how bad the condition is:

This is the pathetic look of my fog lamp after going through a heavy thunderstorm.

This is not the first time I witness this and I brought it to Kah motor. Upon inspection, they claim my bodykit might have caused this and the bulb is not original. What logic is this? I requested to speak to their supervisor.
The supervisor told me nothing could be done as this is consider an accessories and warranty is only 6 months from date of purchase. I ask them what is the use of doing servicing at Kah motor when I couldn't even claim this repair. They told me this is a separate issue. I am very dissapointed with them and ask them to quote the price of a new one. Guess what, the price is $378.56, haven't include installation charge! I left without a second thought!

I am left with no choice but to source for a new one. I keep sourcing around for the original part and most of the shops don't sell. I had checked with McWell Ventures, Silent, Chuan Lee Hin, but none of them have stock. Then I recall about the Honda stockist, Thian Seng Motors. I made a trip to their branch at Bukit Merah and they kindly flip through their catalog. They found the part number (33901-SEL-T61) and they order it for me. Oh, finally I found it and the price is $160. Considered reasonable for Honda part and better than Kah motors who quoted me $378.56!

2 days later, they call me up to collect and this is the original fog lamp packaging.

Finally I received my new fog lamp, after I open up the packaging, I quickly compare it with my existing one. It is exactly the same and the label indicate " Made in Japan", but the shop person told me it is from Thailand. But I wouldn't bother much as long as it is original from Honda.

I brought it to Autobacs @ Bukit Batok and the pit crew install it in less than 15 minutes and I paid $20 labour charge. Hmm, consider it cheap and a job done fast. Hope this new one would not give me any more problems.
